Acting Masterclass

An in depth look at communicating the heart of a character and story through acting

What is the Masterclass?

The Acting Masterclass will give students an in-depth opportunity to study the art of creating a character for stage.  We will focus on observation, on-stage connection, using body and voice in communication, script and character analysis, among other skills. Students will showcase what they have learned with scenes and monologues at a performance on a May 21st, 2024, at the Pump House Regional Arts Center.

Amanda Wiese, Instructor

Amanda has a bachelor's degree from UW-La Crosse in Theatre Performance and Stage Management and worked as the Director of Patron Services at La Crosse Community Theatre before becoming a stay-at-home, and now homeschooling, mom. She has spent several years judging speaking and demonstration, and fine arts festivals for La Crosse County 4-H and has enjoyed being an active part of One Way Theatre since the beginning, including guest directing Anne of Green Gables in 2023.

Performance

Tuesday, May 21st at 5pm. Students are called from 4pm-to 6:30ish.

Due to venue imposed limitations this is by private invitation ONLY. Please WAIT to receive complete details from us before inviting others.
